Noticeboard

We are aware that the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation has recommended the extension of the Covid-19 vaccination programme to 16 and 17 year olds. We are awaiting further guidance from NHS England on when the programme will commence and how the vaccinations will be administered to this age group. Please do not contact your GP – eligible young people will be contacted when the programme commences to advise on the next steps.

On week commencing 9th of August 2021 we are sorry to be saying goodbye to Dr Vivek Patel, who is leaving for a new venture in Sheffield. We all wish him the best for the future. In the same week, we will be welcoming Dr Robert Webster as a new salaried GP to the Practice and look forward to working with him.

To book your Covid vaccination(s), you need to use the 119 service online or phone 119

Demonstrating COVID-19 status

Individuals in England who have had a full course of the COVID-19 vaccine can now get proof of their vaccination details and demonstrate their COVID-19 status for international travel using the NHS COVID Pass.

There are 3 options to demonstrate COVID-19 status: via the NHS App (if you have full access to the App and are registered at a GP surgery), through NHS.UK and by letter from the 119 telephone service.

Latest news for Eastgate patients: Winter Newsletter 2017-18

Two recent issues handled by the PPG

In answer to your continued concern regarding a better entry into Eastgate surgery, the surgery has had quotes for changing the entry.  This has proved too expensive to undertake, therefore we should like to point out again that patients who need assistance should ring the bell on the left hand side of the door.  We hope that you will understand that this matter cannot be carried any further forward.

Patients have 10 minutes free parking in the HBC car park adjacent to Eastgate surgery.

Dear Patient,

patient surveyWe would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.

To help us with this, we are setting up a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.

We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link below to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields.
