Please do not call the Practice about the Covid-19 vaccination. Eligible patients will be contacted with details of appointments

  • Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, how you contact us will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of Coronavirus.
  • Your GP practice is open and if you need to see your GP, please ring us on 01423 788300 or visit our website – our opening hours are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday
  • You can also call NHS 111.
  • Please do not come to the surgery unless you have an appointment.

Waiting roomAll consultations are by appointment and can be booked in person, over the telephone or online. You may consult any of the doctors in the practice and we will always try to accommodate you with the doctor of your choice.

Urgent cases will always be fitted in the same day.  Both the surgeries are open from 08:00 - 18:00 Monday - Friday. We run an early morning clinic every Friday morning at Eastgate and a Saturday morning clinic once a month at the Health Centre.

The time allocated for a routine appointment is 10 minutes. If you feel you may need longer please indicate this to the receptionist at the time of booking.

We are also able to offer telephone slots for things that do not require being seen in surgery i.e medication queries.
Please check in with reception staff on your arrival at the surgery.  We will advise you if there is a delay in your appointment time.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.  Unfortunately due to the differant specialities of our practice nurses and differant appointment lengths we are unable to offer online booking of practice nurse appointments.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Please note if you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment you will be asked to re-book.
