BUZZ US Text Messaging Service
BUZZ US is a text messaging service for children and young people aged 11-18 to text about mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing issues. The number to text is 07520 631168. A wellbeing worker aims to reply within 24 working hours - the service is operated during office hours (Monday -Thursday 9-5pm, Fri 9-4.30pm, excluding bank holidays) and as such the service is not designed for those in crisis. The service is well used for advice, support and signposting; since going live it has received over 15,000 texts from children and young people.
MSK PRACTITIONER SERVICE
The MSK Practitioner service is a new service for patients who are over the age of 16. Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy appointments are offered as an alternative to seeing your GP for a back, neck, muscle or trapped nerve pain. The specialist physiotherapist can assess, diagnose and offer advice and guidance on how to manage your symptoms.
Our MSK Practitioners are experienced specialist physiotherapist who also work at Harrogate District Hospital. They can also refer you to the hospital for further investigations or specialist treatment.
How do I book in? Please contact us at the GP practice as normal and our receptionists will guide you through the process.
Where will my appointment be? You will be told where the appointments are being held when you call the Practice
How long will my appointment be? Your appointment will be 20 minutes.

The doctors and staff at Eastgate Medical Group are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare from our surgeries at Eastgate in Knaresborough and The Health Centre in Harrogate. Extended Access to Primary Care

There are now more primary care appointments available making it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you in the evenings and at weekends.
The Extended Access Service is an extension of your usual primary care practice. It is not a walk-in service – you need to make an appointment.
The Extended Access Service is located at Mowbray Square in Harrogate and North House in Ripon. You can get appointments up to 8pm weekdays and on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

You can now view a summary of your record online using your SystmOnline account. You can also use the same account to order repeat prescriptions and book appointments with doctors. If you would like to register for SystmOnline, please speak to a receptionist. If you are already registered, ask a receptionist to add this new service to your account.

It is a requirement of all practices in England to allocate every patient with a named GP. If you would like to know who is your named GP please ask at reception. If you would like to change this to a specific GP then please inform reception who will make this change for you.
Friends and Family Test
With effect from 1 December 2014, when you visit our surgeries, you will have the opportunity to take part in the Family & Friends Test by answering a simple question about your experience. Your response is anonymous and you will be able to post this in a ballot box in reception. Alternatively you will be able to complete the survey by clicking on the link "Friend & Family Test" on the right of this screen
We will review your responses each month and provide feedback, where possible.
